Home Care Services 

A Physiotherapist (PT) is a movement expert who can optimize quality of life through therapeutic exercises, hands-on care and patient education.  A PT helps individuals maintain, restore and improve movement, activity, and functioning. 

HOME PT SERVICES: 

1. Therapeutic exercises to improve joint ROM, muscle strength and endurance 
2. Balance, proprioceptive and coordination exercises 
3. Functional activities and developmental activities 
4. Gait training with or without assistive device indoors and outdoors, on all surfaces including ramps and stairs 
5. Manual therapy 
6. Massage 
7. Hot moist pack and TENS for pain management 
8. Electrical stimulation to improve muscle function 
9. Patient education on safety and precaution, home exercises, proper body mechanics, activity modifications and proper use of mobility and adaptive devices 
10. Caregiver/family training on positioning, transfers, safe handling and home exercises 

An Occupational therapist (OT) is a health professional who promotes health and well-being through the therapeutic use of daily activities (occupations).  Common OT interventions include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, helping people recovering from injury to regain skills, and providing supports for older adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes.
