Occupational Therapist

Ligaya De Guzman gained her Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapist from a reputed school in the Philippines and currently taking up her Master’s degree. She worked for more than 15 years as OT practitioner in major hospitals accredited by JCIA in the Philippines, Riyadh, KSA and within the emirates of Abu Dhabi, UAE. She is a skilled Occupational Therapist that have handled different cases of patients from pediatric and adult with sensory processing disorder, neurological dysfunction, neuromuscular diseases and other disabling disorder. She also worked with populations who have psychosocial and psychological disorder.

Ligaya De Guzman is also trained in Sensory Integration (SI) and gain certification as SI Therapist. She is also trained for seating positioning system for variety of cases, and undergone taping courses for musculoskeletal disorder.


An Occupational therapist (OT) is a health professional who promotes health and well-being through the therapeutic use of daily activities (occupations).  Common OT interventions include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, helping people recovering from injury to regain skills, and providing supports for older adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes.
